Our Story

In 2014, out of an old mason garage in Columbus, Ohio, Lauren Culley and Jeff Excell opened a bakery and coffee shop selling made from scratch pastries that fully represented the Heartland - big, bready cinnamon rolls, sticky buns covered in toasted pecans, buttermilk biscuits with slow-cooked, fresh fruit jams. They focused on authenticity, sun-lit spaces, and creating an environment that encouraged gathering and community. The small cafe quickly became an established part of the neighborhood and a staple of the Columbus food scene.

Today, a passionate team of bakers, baristas, and cafe staff bring Fox in the Snow to life across Columbus. Over a decade later, we are still committed to those beginning details-making everything by hand, opening spaces that are warm and welcoming, and becoming a heartbeat for each neighborhood and community we're lucky enough to be a part of.
